Size: 65,000 square feet on two floors

Opened: 1967, expanded in 1975

The Main Library was an outgrowth of the Library's Mid-City branch, which opened in the late 1960's. It serves as headquarters for all of the Library's major Divisions. It also provides Interlibrary Loan services as well as Outreach services to nursing homes, assisted living and retirement homes.

There are over one-half million items in the Main Library's circulating and reference collections. Exhibit and display space is available. A conference room has meeting space available for 25 to 35 people. In addition, an auditorium has space available for 75 people.
