The Library regularly purchases best sellers in all formats, however, if you are looking for books, magazines, or AV materials that we do not currently own, please use the recommendation form below. But first, please:

• Check the online catalog before making your suggestion.


• Use our Interlibrary Loan Service for older books published more than 6 months ago. ILL requests take between 2-3 weeks to arrive at the library, usually much faster than a new purchase.


• The East Baton Rouge Parish Library relies on professional review outlets like Library Journal, Publisher’s Weekly, School Library Journal and Kirkus Reviews when selecting materials. Items not professionally reviewed might not be added to our collection.
