What is LEAP?
Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) are annual tests given to students beginning in third grade to assess their mastery of state learning standards. The tests are used with report cards, classroom work, and educator-created tests to understand students’ academic achievement and identify students needing more significant support.
LEAP tests cover the following subjects:
- English language arts (grades 3-8)
- Mathematics (grades 3-8)
- Science (grades 3-8)
- Social studies (grades 3-8)
