hotspot lending program

The Library is piloting a Wi-Fi hotspot lending program due to the further demonstrated digital inequities by the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no charge for the borrowing or usage of a mobile hotspot from the library.

Having the T-Mobile Hotspot at one’s fingertips will allow one to access LTE network which provides fast data download speeds. One can connect up to 10 Wi-Fi capable devices to the Internet at once including laptops, tablets, eReaders, Smartphones and more. Hotspots can be used at home, work, or on-the-go to connect to any device to the Internet. Wherever there is a T-Mobile cellular data connection available, the hotspot can connect to the data source. Then, any wireless device can connect to the hotspot to access the Internet. Patrons can use an unlimited amount of data, with broadband speeds. The individual hotspots will be available for check-out at the following locations:

  • Baker Branch Library
  • Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library
