EBRPL is always looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our team. The library is a great place to work, with a variety of positions in both public-facing and support roles. Full-time employment with the library comes with benefits including health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, eleven paid holidays and paid vacation and sick leave. EBRPL has been recognized as a star library by Library Journal ten times. Our libraries have received multiple design awards for recent building campaigns and continue to improve our facilities through renovation projects. The library invests on a continuous basis to keep our technology current in our makerspaces, meeting rooms and other services.

librarians

Librarians are skilled professionals with a master’s degree from an accredited school of library and information science. Librarians are experts at connecting patrons with information and resources, ensuring that the library serves the needs of the community. We have librarians in reference, children’s services, teen services and support roles at the main library and all branch libraries. Duties include programming, circulation, customer service, providing reference assistance, and supervisory roles.

library technicians

Library technicians perform a wide variety of core library duties including programming, circulation, and reference help. Whether working in reference, circulation, children’s services, or teen services, you’ll help patrons get the most out of their library. Library technicians can be full- or part-time.

library pages

Library pages perform essential work to keep our libraries in order. Pages shelve and organize books and other library materials, ensuring that everything can be easily found. Other duties include assisting with meeting spaces, checking in materials, and general customer service. These positions are part-time with schedule flexibility.
